Had a good laugh yesterday while trying to add fluid to my C&NW versions smoke generator. While withdrawing my needle point applicator from between the grills, I accidentally drug it along enough to pop the grill casting off the top of the body. Upon further inspection, I noticed a small magnet molded into the bottom of the grill and a metal piece molded into the body shell. The grill is actually designed to come off the shell to aid fluid additions to the smoke unit without fighting the narrow grill spacing.
I had glanced at the owners manual upon receipt, but since my layout was still months away from starting, I never noticed the picture in the manual showing this improvement. Another "DUH" moment on my part, but I learned something. Try it, you'll like it SD70ACe owners.......
