It's nice Catalog. Love the wide selection of Berkshires, and the Milwaukee Road Northerns, the one in Hiawatha colors is cool. I'm gonna pass again on stuff in this magazine.
Not bad, but do we really need more SD40's right now?
Lionel hits a HOMERUN!!!!
Nice CAT, Thanks MARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice to see that the E6's will come with 2 powered A units.
Also appears the diesels won't have kinematic pilots.
Wow they really hit the Bluetooth hard. After using it for the Polar Ready to Run I'm convinced this is a good move to add it into the Legacy engines.
Some E6s at a decent price too. Nice catch on the Twin powered "A"s.
Thanks for the hyperlink (it worked, unlike the one in Charles Ro's email), but where do you find the catalog on Lionel's website?
What, me worry?
I prefer the .pdf download versions. Will there be one?
Pete
Hovered over the Products Button until the drop down happened. Bottom of the drop down is a Catalog Button that takes you to all the catalogs. I didn't find it until someone else noticed it was posted.

Wondering if this new bluetooth direction will someday eliminate the Cab2, and wifi app? Anyway, I like the new S-3 steamer but sadly there's not one thing I want in this catalog.

As of now it doesn't have enough features on the App. But I'm sure they could be added but then you have all the LCS stuff to contend with. I don't think we'll see Legacy go anywhere for a long time.
The NYO&W F3s are sweet!

Quickly browsing through the catalog on my phone since it doesn't work on my computer at work, though I will double check on my home computer, or when I get the catalog, or both. The only thing I might think of getting is the Scale Polar Express, since I missed the last run of it. Other than that, not much I really want from what I have seen.
Nice Catalog...nothing that screams "MUST HAVE" but a few questions......
1) Do the LC+ diesels still come with plastic gears?
2) What will it take to get the Polar Express to grind around 0-42 curves?
Comments:
1) Nice to see the Tidewater tank car, same # as the restored car on the Strasburg Railroad
2) Really like the Smithsonian Boxcars, I've got the Air and Space cars currently.

Me too, I couldn't find that option, we'll see if it shows up. I'll probably pick up the paper copy at the shop.
I think the 2 highlights on the Scale Polar is Bluetooth and the correctly lettered cars below the windows. I'm in for it. I've always had something on order during the previous releases and now I'm glad I did. I would assume the PE has the same announcements as the previous run.
I really enjoyed the catalog! This is always a bit like homework, but more fun! I like to study it in detail, make a list, which has way too many items and then pare it down to a few items that I can afford. That said, , th end of train husky stacks, the the blue tooth radio tower, and the Renz Hobby shop will be high on the list. I may set up a display of the last two items in my home office. The hobby shop is a very nice way for Lionel to remember someone who passed way too soon.
can download it here, takes a little time to load but it will:

My guess is the option to download will appear in a few days, it probably eats up a lot of bandwidth to download, so postponing it for a little while may free up more people to look at it right now. The option is still available on the older catalogs.
Pretty good catalog. Lots of stuff. I'm liking the 65' mill gons and the Lion scale cars. Was hoping for a few more scale buildings but over all I think they have a lot of winners in it................Paul

Marvelous! Thanks for the link, Ed.
Pete
the download link I posted doesn't load the catalog 100 percent. Seems like any info in the black panels is omitted. maybe why its not yet listed.
Don't like the black background.

What do you define as "a little time"? It took about four seconds, I was bracing for minutes!
Thanks Lionel for the ETD Husky stacks!
$igh, every year the rolling $tock goes up and up and up.
I was also really hoping the new radio tower had an actual radio. Blue tooth only holds no interest for me.
Some nice looking items for sure but retirement looms for me. Must choose wisely on what I buy. My gift to me will probably be that handsome John Deere tank car.
I like the mill gons without the graffiti. Great to see all of the brands pushing hard into the app space so we don't need all the clumsy remote systems going forward.
It appears the new Lionel catalog has included a feature that released some sort of "cyber-attack" on competitive websites. A search of both CSX and BNSF on the MTH site just now showed "no results!!"
The PRR E6 steamer and the two X-31 boxcars with the circle keystone look like possible buys this time around. I was happy to see the B60 baggage until I saw the price; guess I'll keep looking for Weaver's version. Still no Legacy F3 in PRR as delivered colors.
My dad and I, think it's a pretty good looking catalog. There is at least 3 engines we are going to buy. It's sad they didn't come out with more accessories. I wish they would have. Passenger cars looks pretty interesting. Polar Express we already have that set but maybe will get another set. Keep up the good work Lionel. Tom & Tom's Dad.
So many passenger engines, so few passenger cars. It'll be hard for folks to decide to pre-order many of the engines when they don't know if/when they're going to make matching cars for them, or what they'll be.
PM 1225 and 1223! Yes!
The highlight for me is the Theodore Renz memorial operating hobby shop. It looks great, is very attractively priced - $100+ less than its 3 predecessors - and a good way to honor a gone member of the Lionel team.
Everything else is...eh, for me. Nothing really new, and nothing I really need like volume 1 this year.
Razzle Fratizin brick a Brackin Lionel. I have waited and waited for them to do Ohio Central. Gave up and bought an MTH one in April.....@#$%^&*I(
A catalog full of stuff I already have. And hey look, more Berks
I would have liked to have seen the E6 (diesel) in Southern railway colors like the TMCC release.
The super bass B unit is really cool! I am most interested in the 50' piggyback flat cars because of the statement "easy conversion to scale couplers"....
I love my Lionel PS4 flats with Pup Trailers but it was a PITA to install kadees on them. It would be SO COOL if Lionel does insert a mounting bracket on the underside! Time will tell.
Well at least I can finally get my "combo car" and another coach. I feel sorry for those that Paid $400.00 plus for the coach in the spring and early summer on that auction site.
I am "on the fence" about the American RR # 759 as there are no matching Streamlined passenger car set for it and MTH has made this loco two times already with one run of the Streamlined passenger cars.
So much PRR stuff : x31 Boxcars, "40' TOFC's" the PRR 1930 Broadway Ltd Passenger set, the former Weaver B60 baggage in a multitude of flavors....
Forget the doublestack cars...
The Tank train cars are back again in ALL the schemes Produced abeit with different numbers! Oy VEY!
And then there is the Polar Express Tank car too!
IF it all about Bluetooth remote control why is the cover loaded with GEARS and not electronics??
