Can any one tell me if Lionel fixed the back porch (steps allingment) on these. Or were they the same as the Santa Fe and others that came out last year. I was going to buy some Santa Fe's but that back porch issue killed the order. Maybw a SP if they fixed it. Thanks for the help

I have the ICG gp-30s from this year and they do not line up...never noticed it till someone pointed that out. Seems like all you have to do is drill another hole and move them back 1/8" or so...but someone on here said that would not work. It doesn't bother me enough to try it.
You can NOT just move it back UNLESS you remove the outer brakeshoes from the truck side frames... there is not enough clearance. All the Legacy GP 30's are the same but they can be modified to fixed pilots. It's not to dificult, but does take some time.
Fixed pilots with Kadess. Modified the shanks of the couplers for more swing.
Stock side frames prevent moving the pilot in:
Once the outter brake shoes are removed, clearance is NO LONGER an issue.
