Hi, I am using Lionel O gauge switches with the standard controls. What do you use to mount the switch control? It looks like I would need a #4 wood screw that is 1 1/2 “ long, and I am having a hard time locating a wood screw that small and long.

Hi-Tech Fasteners was able to get some for me years ago. Any industrial fastener supplier should be able to find them for you. I doubt any would have stock. They should be flat head.

I drilled mine out to accept a #6 x 1-1/4 which is quite easy to find.

I use long flat head 4-40 machine screws. I think mine are 2-1/2 inches. The total length would depend on the thickness of your control panel.
If you go to york, the gentleman that sells all the screws has the correct screws for them. Perhaps someone here knows the name of the company.

Best place to go for just about any mechcanical fasteners and lots of other stuff is Mcmaster-Carr. They have the #4 1 1/2" wood screws in packages of 100 for $5.15 each. shipping is not expensive either, and there is no minimum order---
Thank you for all the ideas, I placed my order with mcmaster.com today!
Gargaves track screws also work well.
