Great news! What are the chances of getting a western Maryland water tender?
We only have 12 left for preorder!
Hello Charlie,
I like to pre order this, Will you be able to get the matching water tender to go with this? I was thinking of getting a matching water tender too. Also is this version you have a coal fired version or an oil fired version of the vision line challenger?
I see this the ALCo built challenger but I can only find pictures of the Baldwin built version for the WM. Did WM have any of the ALCO version?

Didn’t the WM Challengers have all weather enclosed cabs (must have been brutal in the summertime!)?

No, and the few Challengers that the Western Maryland did have where NOT successful at all. As a result, the WM Chief Engineer Mechanical Officer, that was responsible for those Baldwin locomotives, eventually took his own life over the disaster of those Baldwin Challengers.

Wow Charlie... that looks FANTASTIC!

These models are of the UP Challenger, re-decorated, not the WM 4-6-6-4, which was an entirely different loco. If that matters to you.

Not only that, the Western Maryland Challengers did NOT have centipede (pedestal type) tenders!
Its a fantasy... but it sure looks hot! That 'pede tender looks great with a WM scheme... awesome engine Charlie...
Only a couple left!
