I plan to wire my PH 180s thru a terminal strop then out to either the ZW, then to a DPDT switch or directly to the switch.
I need the Molex adapter cables for this, and I order a couple of sets, but can not lay my hands on them.

I may find them, but meanwhile, I need to know where to order these from, as I do not remember the source.

Any help with this would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Roger

Molex makes about 10,000 connectors, I think he's interested in a slightly more "refined" answer.   What he's looking for are the Molex 1396 series 5.03mm connectors for 3-positions.

PH Connector: https://www.digikey.com/produc...0003091081-ND/212982

PH Mating Connector: https://www.digikey.com/produc...0003091081-ND/212982

You can also check this search result and get them without the ears.

Roger,

The Lionel TMCC TPC Cable Set, 6-14194, has two of what you're looking for (mating connector with pigtails) in it, however it also supplies two of the opposite connector with pigtails as well.  If you don't mind getting  these extra things that you don't really need this would be the easy way to go.  I haven't yet checked the Lionel website to see if they still have these in stock.

The source on the bay that used to supply just the side that fits the PH-180's connector is no longer out there.

Alternatively, what are available are the Molex components used to make the connector-and-pigtail assembly, as long as you don't mind making your own.

These are the Housing: Molex 03-09-2032, and Pin (Male): Molex 02-09-2103, from a number of different Electronics Supply Houses such as Mouser.

What a great reply, Bravo, Mike, especially supplying the Molex p/n's.  What sort of crimping tool is needed--anything special?

Somehow I missed your reply GRJ--another excellent public service reply providing the needed info in useable form.

If you don't have an appropriate crimping tool, just close them with some needle-nose pliers and hit it with a spot of solder.  The pins are in the listings I supplied above, and there are both male and female pins that fit both sides.  Obviously, you want to get the right gender into the proper connector.

Yep that is exactly what I am looking for.
I am looking for the four piece set of 2 each Male and Female Molex plugs and pigtails that plug into the PH-180 and into the ZW transformer.
These are proving very hard to find in stock anywhere.
I just can not figure out what I did with the set that I had.

Might try looking on the bay.. I think that's where I found some awhile back.. A lot more expensive than making them yourself, I'm sure...

He only sells the one piece, not sure if it is male or female, but I need both the male and female part.
Also, he wants $16 and change for the one piece, and the two pair (4 pc) sets were only $13 to $15.
Again, I do need the male and female parts.
I realize that I can buy the parts and make my own, but I have a set of the pre-assembled pigtails that I just can not find, and was hoping to replace with the pre-assembled sets.
The truly sat thing is that I also have all of the parts to make my own pigtails, but they are with the pre-made ones, and so I can't find those either.
Getting old is a real pain in the rear.
I can't seem to remember anything anymore.
I need notes to tell me where my notes are. LOL

I can really identify with getting old stuff, but it beats the alternatives..  I looked to see where I got mine, but can't find the source, sorry.. I guess I need the same notes you do... lol

HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found the Digi Key  box with the set of 2 ea Male and Female PH-180 to ZW assembled Plugs with Pigtails, along with the bag of parts that I also purchased to make these assemblies.
In the same box were the terminal strips that I had also been looking for.

I was pretty sure that if I looked long enough and went thru enough boxes and or containers, that they would turn up, but I was not absolutely positive.

That box ended up in a small plastic bin setting just under my workbench.
The problem is that, on top of the box was a flat container just big enough to cover the Digi Key box.
I now have all of the parts that I have been stockpiling for the day when I actually start building my final layout.

Diodes
Chokes
Terminal Strips
ZW Plugs/Pigtails
Barrel Connector/Pigtails
Banana Plug wires
Circuit Breakers
Etc.............

Life is good

I have no idea where you'd find those all made up, that's why I posted the source for the connectors.

My apologies; I forgot to mention the purchase details.
They were as follows:

Company Name: Charles Ro Supply Co.
Part Number: L14194
Description: 2 each - Fully Assembled - Male and Female with pigtails
Date: 03/07-2019.

I just checked, and do not find the part on their site.

For what it is worth:
I just called Lionel, and found that they discontinued the Plugs/Pigtail assemblies back in 2013, along with other related TMCC items.
Too bad they don't realize that there are other uses for these besides TMCC.
Again, I am really glad I ordered mine when I did, and that I was able to find them again.

I have been folllwing this thread as I am looking to connector a Lionel 180W Powerbrick to a TIU.  To summarize, in order to accomplish this I will need the housing, connector to the plug, and banana connectors Gunnerjoe indicated. What gauge wire would be recommneded. From what I read it does not appear to be difficult to make these adapters. Hopefully I am not over simplifying this.

thank you in advance for your feedback.
