These went bump in the mail today:

The paint is superb.  Color is deeper than on the FA's of the past.  Nice touch with black paint on the fan grid and exhaust stack.  As usual, a pack of Kadee couplers are included with the DC Scale units.  Gave them a quick up 'n back and they run as one would expect an AM locomotive to run.  A surprise is headlight LED's on both ends.

Due to slings and arrows of outrageous fortune infringing on my model railroad time, I won't be able to dig in to these until the weekend.  So, for now, these pictures will have to suffice.

Every new American Models release gets better than the previous one. Dual LED headlights were not mentioned on their website, but it's great to see that they are included in the model. Even MU hoses now appear on the pilots! Paint has improved over the years, but one thing never changes--these locomotives run like clockwork, forever. I have FP7 engines from the mid-1980s that can still creep through rail yards or run for hours at "high-ball" speeds.

I have two MoPac engines on order, too; and it's a treat to see what they will look like. Thank you!

Oh, yeah...  Just took another quick lookee at my units.  The number boards are also illuminated by the headlight LEDs.
