Nice
What fuel does it run on?
the real downside of 1:32 scale passenger locomotives is the unavailability of most passenger cars. it hard enough finding 1:32 scale freight cars as the market for 45mm gauge is flooded with the out of scale (1:29) USA Trains products. thankfully Asisto Craft went out of business recently so at least one source for this "cosmetic" scale has stopped manufacture.
Have only recently become aware of the fact of the majority of 'large scale' items produced by USA Trains and Aristo being too large for the track width at 1:29. I gather that MTH 'Gauge One' is correct at 1:32 but who else manufactures in this scale?
I started a Harriman 0-6-0 for that track gauge, and remember being confused. Aren't there several sizes for the gauge? 45 mm track would seem to be 1/31.4 or so.
They did the same thing we did in the beginning of O Scale - chose a scale unrelated to gauge. It is so easy to get it right . . .
Always lusted after an Aster. Figured stainless steel lost-wax castings were bulletproof. Now that I know they are fragile, I shall quit lusting.
I seem to remember seeing these steam engines in the Dealer Hall at York back in the mid eighties.
this is my Green Arrow. coal fired, 3 cylinder. 3 1/2 inch gauge.
