Outside of our hobby and all the normal suppliers, is there somewhere to find 1/48 scale or close to 1/48th scale buildings, building kits or other structures?

Over the years, we have used a lot of Department 56 products. Many folks think that all of their structures have a snow effect, but many do not. In particular, I like the Seasons Bay collection that has long since retired. No snow and a really cool collection that works with O-Gauge.

Brian: Thanks ever so much for the answer. I went to the 'Bay and found tons and tons of Seasons Bay stuff. It's pretty great looking. I think I may have some places for a few of these. About how big are these, on average? Thanks again - Bob, still kickin' at 69.
Average, I would 6 by 8".
Thanks again Brian. Yesterday, I bought 12 buildings on eBay. I've got a few more in my sights. These were either from the Seasons Bay collection or the Dickens collection. I wanted to purchase a couple from the Halloween collection, but the asking prices were far too much to spend for my budget. (as if a budget really exists)
I really started out to just buy four, one for each corner of my ceiling shelf layout, but, as usual, I got carried away, yet again. Vija said, I hope I don't see a bunch of these little buildings coming in the mail.
Here is an ironic thing. Several years ago, a friend of Vija's gave her several bags and boxes of these little ceramic buildings. she had used them for Christmas, but no longer wanted them. Vija asked if I could use them, and I said no, so I took the entire collection to the Salvation Army and donated them. I would estimate that there were at least fifty of the things, along with little do-dad accessories. I never really even looked at them to see what they were. Knowing Vija's friend, they were the absolute best of whatever was available at the time she bought them. Oh well, se-la-vie. Bob
