I agree with you, they are very good for a lesser priced loco. Both sound and pulling. I had one that I picked up, a NW2 loco sounds and dummy because it was in a road name I wanted, and later switched out to PS2. Rather than dispose of the loco sound unit, I held onto it for the kids because it was dependable, and simple to operate. 


I was suprise and impressed just how strong they are.I have the NY&OW mohawk and the L&N big emma.I got the big emma because of its number.1967 which is the year I was born.I have thought of geting lionel sound boxcar.Oddly enough thou the steam sound car.The whistle doesn,t sound like any steam locomotive to me.Sounds like a diesel trying to sound like a steam whistle.
