Hmmm . . . That looks familiar . . .
Who cut off the top of the tender?
And where is the leading set of wheels??
It's an 0-8-2, levitating steam locomotive! Where are the anti-grav units?
Seriously, I wish them well with this project. It could become a mini-Age of Steam Roundhouse in PA.
Mike
This Museum is not involved with 1361
I hope they spend more time building it then they did
designing it. Good ol copy and paste
Well the rendition may be a bit off the mark, but as a long time supporter of the museum I can tell ya that this roundhouse is going to be a cool addition to the yard area, not to mention the protection of the engines.

Anti-Gravs are used on smaller items. Something that large has an on-board Anti-Grav system (sometimes referred to as a "repulsor-lift" by that "other universe from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away") built into it.
Actually, that looks like a computer image rendering problem.
"And here we have the inspiration for Lionel's 2026 Locomotive..."

It will be a great addition for bothe the locomotives and visitors.
Always attend Pennsy days.
Maybe I need to grab my glasses, but I swear I'm seeing an 0-6-4...it's 1st set of drivers behind the blue shirted kid, then two more. Add the two journel boxes on the trailing truck...this supposed to be a 4-6-4 or a 2-6-4?
Bob, I think you're right. Now that I look at it more closely, it is an 0-6-4.
I've got to look that one up in my Whyte Steam Locomotive Classification book.
For Some of you not quite getting it, I was referring to the Lionel santa Fe Steam loco as the inspiration of the locomotive in the drawing...
The RR Museum of PA has NO such loco in it's collection. Readingfan seems to have gotten it! IS there a prototype of Lionel's rendition surviving somewhere?

On top of the tender, next to the flux capacitor.
Marty!

That engine isn't really the inspiration. The inspiration is really the 2026/2036/2037:
I see a 2037 like I...Ok mines still there...Hey the "santa fe hudsons"right next to it!
