Hi. After 10 years I finally set up my layout and it looks great. The only problem is that I am really a novice when it comes to wiring. I want to add crossing gates, flashing crossing guards, and some other accessories. I have lionel fast track and I cant get it to work no matter how many you tube videos I watch. I live in Poughkeepsie NY. I am willing to pay someone to come to my home and set it up for me. If anyone is interested please respond. Thanks.

modern, I have a couple of accessories like a crossing gate, a semaphore, a swinging banjo and a blinking crossing guard. I also want to wire some houses and a signal guy and flood light. Thanks.
You can do this. I would suggest spending time and place our items on your layout first. Then run the wires to your items on top of the layout. Get them working, then 1 by one, drill holes and move the wires underneath.
