I am building a 17th century Welsh building and would like to find some slate roofing material. Either plastic or paper would be fine. Has anyone come across something that would work?

OK, found slate shingles at Evergreen Products!
Do you have the part or stock number of this slate? You are not the only one hunting slate roofs.
The house I grew up in was slate roof and built approx 1924. It's almost a hundred years and that roof is still going strong.
I've ordered material from Evergreen, have high hopes.
The building in question is the family home, from whence an emigrant came to America and established a family
Northern Wales is of course the home of the Festiniog Railway, the two foot gauge railway built to get slate to the seaport. It runs to this day, a wonderful tourist experience.
A building in Northern Wales most likely has a slate roof.

OK, I mis-posted, I ordered the slate shingles from Rusty Stumps, not Evergreen.
The product is terrific, a bit tedious to apply but a very attractive result.
