I am looking for a way to tighten up one of the handles om my ZW-C transformer. I have one handle that seems to wobble a bit and the other one is tight. Are there and instructions on this and any suggestion I would really like to fix mine. I have done a search on the forum and came up with no luck. Thanks for any help.

Actually, there was recently a posting about the bracket to tighten them up.
Part #17 in this parts list: ZW-C Parts
John
I saw that part but mine has the medal parts already. What it is that you can lift up on the handle somewhat. The other side you cannot. From what I see inside is the shaft has movement up and down. I think If I could figure out how to get the handle off their maybe someway to push it on further down the shaft towards the inside. My mechanical skills are not that great.
There are other plastic parts that there wasn't any solution for, at least I didn't see any in that thread.
Yes that was what I was afraid of John. Well I will just live it for now. Thanks for the help.

My ZW-C is the same. The left handle is loose. I took a look at it, but couldn't see any easy way to get to the place where the handle is splined onto the shaft. I considered putting a small washer between the two plastic gears where there is some space that is not on the right side. It would make the handle snug...
Take a bread closure tab and cut the center to the correct size for the shaft and slip it in there. I've done that for spacers on locomotive axles, works great.
Great idea. Thanks.
John good called.
Chuck I found that as well the space between the two large gears was just a very little bit wider than the other side. I had this idea yesterday and stuffed some small pieces of packing foam between the two gears and the handle is now tight and works pretty good. I just didn't know how the foam will last rubbing against the two gears as you rotate the handle.
The bread closures are still working great spacing the axles of my locomotive. They're a lot more "robust" than foam I would guess.
John I would agree with you on the bread tabs. I have taken off the cover on my ZW-C and looked at the foam still in tack but, I am going to replace it with your suggestion. I just need to get some of those bread tabs.
Don't you guys eat any bread at your house?
Our bread had a tie wrap on it...so I sacrificed a thin (just right) flat flexible plastic measure rule. I cut it just right into an upside U and slipped it in. Plenty of red grease in there, so it should last until posterity comes along some future day and somebody says "what tha...?". Feels great now.
That works.
John our bread here in the south has tie wraps on it. But I did find one on some muffins in the frig and stole it. but I need more width so I am looking for something else. I will look for an old ruler like chuck did.
Buy more muffins.
Funny thing, all the bread around here comes with the little plastic do-dads on it. I saved a bunch of the longer ones, I can cut two shims out of them. They also conveniently come in different thicknesses, so I have an assortment for any job.
Good...something to collect.
Yes I agree( more miffing). I just finished fixing mine. I found some dividers that go into some plastic boxes and they were the correct width. Also Chuck if you have some up and down play with the complete unit both ring and handle if you take the controls off with the two screws(make sure you mark the gear teeth with a magic marker) then remove the metal plate (4 screws) turn it over and notice the stud put a short piece of tubing or heat shrink on the stud making it just a little longer then replace it. This will put more downward pressure on the main shaft and then both controls will be tight. It will make the ring control just a little harder to move but not much.
