Hello all.

In between my other project (see "spacers" thread in 3RS), I've also started to convert my 3 New Ray 1953 Mack semi and trailers to NYC Flexi-Vans...

Here's some pictures before and after... and yes, they do have side doors, on the passenger side.

And pictures of their HO scale brethren...

Now if I can only find someone to do the decals...

Thanks,

Mario

I'll take some pictures, but its easy...

there's two screws holding on the rear bogies, then there are two runners on the underside of the floor.  Just trim those and the screw mounting lugs, and screw them back together.  I used the thickness of two popsicle sticks as a reference.

As for the semi, there's two screws holder the 5th wheel in place.  unscrew those and trim the pivot point where the 5th wheel sits and then the mounting posts for them, and then screw them back together...

Thanks,

Mario

Those trailers look good and are cheap to buy for projects and adding to more scale trucks.

Or as TOFC loads

Would be interested in how you lowered them.

As for the decals if you get a really thin double sided tape and simply print the images on good quality thin photo type paper on your printer then add the double sided tape and cut it out. When you apply them to the trailers they look just fine.

You can also tinker with the Testors or other decal paper systems.

Michaels has the testors decal paper for ink jet printers and the clear coat spray as kits.

It sometimes works depending on your printer.

But I normally find that for things like trailers the white regular photo paper with double sided tape works easiest and looks good.
