Hey Guys,
I have several Marx and a few 1920s Lionel cars that I am running, and they sure do run better once the axle is lubed.
But I have been using oil, and I'm not sure that it is going to last long.
Outers make a black, high viscosity, stay-put, heat proof black grease that comes in a tube, called "Gunslick." It was designed to be used on mechanical bearing surfaces of firearms, and when you apply it, it literally lasts for years. Never hardens, never drips off.
Does anybody use a grease like this on tinplate, instead of oil?
Thanks,
Mannyrock
