Madison Hardware Tender kit

Madison Hardware sold separate tenders built from 700T parts and equipped with postwar drawbars to operate with 773 Hudsons. These were available from the 1950s through the early 1980s and were advertised regularly in the model railroading mags of the time. I myself bought one there in 1986 and used it for my 783 rebuild to a 700E level of detail -

Hudson Products also offered an almost identical separate sale scale 700 tender. I often wondered if they were from Madison overstock.

@barrister.2u, Yup, that's the ad I referred to above. It ran more or less monthly in Model Railroader and Railroad Model Craftsman back in the day. The note to specify the engine type it was intended for was to make sure it would couple properly with both the pre and postwar models.
