I released some magic smoke today.  I was setting up some Ross switches for non derailing with DZ machines and I fried one of the two button controllers.  Took it apart and a trace was burned, but also one of the push buttons no longer worked.  Fortunately not very costly.

This put out a very thick smoke and I am pretty good at creating it.  I'm thinking of installing a rack over my electrical bench with upside down vials and corks ready to capture the smoke.  I bet it would bring a ton on eBay.  Think of the value add if I fried a Hogwarts engine.

The first time my Polar Express engine "Smoked", we were running at the Science Museum of Richmond. I heard a bunch of children's voices (in unison) exclaim COOO-elllllllllll !!! "Do that again!!" When I turned around, I couldn't see the engine for the smoke.

Unfortunately the engine was "toast" for that day.
