Using fastrack, gate come with actuator for tube rail, gate has tons of wires, tried several attempts to use activator track but can’t figure it out....would rather not buy a 153ir controller

What activator track? Part #?
Don't have one. made my own by isolating outside rails
That accessory will not work directly from the wire connected to the isolated rail. The 153IR has relay output connections for the Black, White, and Yellow wires. The other two wires go to transformer accessory power.
Try this. Hook up power to one of the gates and then touch the Yellow to Black or White wires. One should make the gate go up, the other down. That's how a relay would work hooking the Yellow to COM, Black to NC and White to NO. That's a SPDT relay.
If you want to follow this route, let us know and we can advise you further.
Take a look at this from Henning's Trains. This module was designed on this forum by @gunrunnerjohn for just this sort of problem. It will provide the relay connections that I mentioned above. I believe this is all you will need to be able to wire up your gates using the isolated rail as a trigger.
