I need to buy some more 16-gauge wire to drop power feeds from 14-gauge bus wires for a small addition to my layout. The least expensive wire is rated for a maximum of 60 volts. Is this a sufficient voltage rating for our purposes?
Yes it should be ok. Even with bad phasing on two transformers, the transformers wont put out 60v, your ok. It would take a good meltdown to get the home ac involved.
