Does anyone know what the significance of the NRA logo/emblem on these cars was. Did they all have it?
thanks

There are numerous variation of this car, most having to do with the fleur de lis design across the bottom. There is also the 277X which has the black girl. The NRA is an all the variations I have seen. It is also noted in the catalogs.

Can't help you with the question Steve but it's a cool looking car!
NRA and Tomato Soup???
Can you think of a more fun way to make tomato soup than line up a bunch of tomatoes and puree them with a high powered rifle? LOL
this might be the NRA that's on the car, nothing to do with guns.
That's the NRA that is on the car. Campbells had it on their advertising in the 1930's.
Thanks for posting that Dave.

I grew up watching The Walton's, and always saw that symbol on the front of Godsey's store. It wasn't till years later I learned just what it was.
Thanks for solving that, Steamer. It really had me wondering. Cool car, by the way.
Thanks Arno, I had no idea it was THAT NRA. Sure makes sense now.

It was all Steamer Dave.

The funny thing is, they sell reproductions of that sign at gun shows and gun collectors buy them. I suspect most of them don't realize that it's not the same NRA. The eagle looks like something the rifle NRA would have.
I wouldn't have known the correct answer either, but for watching the Roosevelt special on PBS. Great show by the way.
