McKeen promoting the reasons to purchase and quality of McKeen motor train engines .  Interesting reference to the recent sale of 5 cars to the Queensland Railway in Australia which were delivered about 5 months previously in 1913.   Not easy to see , but there is a nice watermark in the paper with the name McKeen and also an outline of the engine .    The O scale engine is a brass one by Precision.

That's a really amazing artifact, great find!

I read an article about the history of the McKeen Car Company that talked a little about their sales policy. Mr. McKeen was evidently a proponent of the "hard sell" technique; he bombarded his prospective customers with mailings, phone calls and personal visits to offices. It's testimony to his hard work that some of his advertisements are still around!
