Made an early Sunday morning visit to Menards and saw they are offering a 30% discount on in stock O & HO gauge building, If you are near a Menards and they have inventory that meets your needs, it could be a great deal. My Menards in Holland, Ohio has around 10 buildings on hand.

I saw the sale yesterday at my local Menards. The trains have all moved upstairs in the seasonal storage area. Most of them are store displayed.

Menard's- Mark Talk to your Store Owners,
Come on man, we need a new Menard's store in the Monroeville/Wilinstownship old Sears Store Location, purchase the building and move your Menard's fantastic business into our area, and supply western Pa with some Menard's jobs, and business competition!
We want to be able to drive to a big Menard's store close by, here in Western Pa.

I was happy to get one at $100!
I just went to my local Menards, and none of the train items were discounted. I'll check back in tomorrow.

The signage at my local Menards only indicated O and HO Gauge Buildings as being discounted.
If only I lived close to one...
It would be nice if Menard's could post a list of their train items and the store location with phone number. With computers, this should be very simple. A good inventory program, could remove it as soon as it sold.
I was at my Local Menards tonight and none of buildings were on sale. I wonder if the sale is only at some stores.
The menards I went had only display items on sale as 30% off with the 11% rebate makes em a good deal. I bought the power plant and the train station. PCR Dave, there is only one store owner for all the Menards stores, John Menard Jr.
Thanks for posting, Jim!
We do in fact have a special in-store promotion going on right now. Now through February 25, 2017 (or while supplies last), all plugged-in store model buildings (both O and HO scale) are marked down 30%! Plus, now through February 18th, get an additional 11% rebate!
I will reiterate that these are plugged-in display models only and are limited to stock on hand. Store supplies are very limited, so hurry in to get the best selection. But remember, when they're gone, they're gone!
Thank you,
Mark the Menards Train Guy

Those buildings don't look like "plugged in display models" ??? I'm trying to get some folks I know in Michigan to go check out a few stores. I'd buy a bunch of them! I'm in TN and the closest Menards to me in is on I75 near the Kentucky/Ohio state line.
After reading about this sale yesterday, I went to the Menards store in my area this morning planning on picking up another building. I currently have five from Menards, but found out the sale was on "plugged-in" display models only! Because they have most likely been plugged in, with the lights operating continuously since before Thanksgiving, with all sales being final and because the Power & Light building that I have is already losing some of it's lights with minimal use...I decided to pass. They did have two of what I wanted, so asked to speak with the manager and see if the sale price was available on the non-display unit and after some checking, he said they weren't able to do so. So no sale today!!! Kind of a relief in a way...having no place on my layout to put it would mean I would have to build an addition, just to accommodate it...so another close call! Just sayin...

I ran down to my local Menards in Warren MI. to take advantage of the 30% off deal you referred to in the above post to buy the chippewa valley feed supply and the store knows nothing about this sale even after showing them your post i had to pay full price for the shelf display. in hind site i should have just ordered a new one with no ware and tare. should i just return it and have the special order desk order a new one ? please advise
thanks
Bill
In reality, you should be able to get 20,000 hours out of am LED so if they've been plugged in for 70 days at 24 hours a day they'd have 8.4% of the life of the LED is spent but you still should have 91.6% of the life left.

Yes the very least you should get out of an LED is 20,000 hours. I have some that have been on 24 hours a day for the last 10 years. We are finally beginning to see a failing bulb and or group or bulbs now. That's nearly 90k hours!
