Menards box arrived with holes in it and obviously been dropped. I say that as the plastic revolving half dome had been knocked off its post and the screw attaching it  was loose. Also 2 of the yellow fences were loose. Repairs were done by removing one of the side panels (seen on the right) and then removing the top piece. A side panel has to be removed to access the top one. There are 8 black "X's" on  sides which prevent you from doing repairs from just the side. You must go from the top. All panel removal must be done very G-E-N-T-L-Y and with a very small slotted screwdriver, I would recommend sending back to Menards  if yours arrives damaged and let them pay the return freight. I think they need to put "THIS SIDE UP" arrows on all boxes with buildings in them especially ones with moving parts. This is 2nd item from them that arrived damaged (Lemax Parachute Drop). Based on 24 yrs as a logistics supervisor (NWA Cargo), if a box can be "tossed", it will be tossed and Menards should label accordingly. Their packaging is very good overall but anything this delicate needs additional handling orientation when its being rushed into a ULD (unit load device).  I know I can send it back to Menards for a full refund but I think its more important to pass on these simple suggestions so others don't have the same expierence and Mark can keep his shipping costs down. Overall, I am very pleased with the creative and reasonable  priced products.

UnclePeteRR  ps its works fine now but I should have placed Homer inside when I had the **** thing open!!!!!!

So much for the "Fragile, Handle with Care label" on box.

UPS conveyors have never taken any reading courses. The conveyor systems in a UPS hub does more damage than the handlers or drivers. The average package will travel across at least two UPS conveyor systems before arriving at the destination.

In use to work at a FedEx sort facility some years ago. It was night work, and we had some strange characters working there. Some of them would purposely try to break the content of boxes for "fun."  The norm, however, was total indifference. Our performance was evaluated based on how fast we could unload, sort, and reload the packages, and on how few packages got in the wrong truck. Broken items were not really considered.

Drivers tended to be much more professional, however.
