I am proud to offer you all the opportunity to download the 2015 MERKUR catalogue. A lot of new locomotives, tinplate houses and even a turn table is in the 2015 program.

If you have any questions please send me an email. And I am working hard to deliver the models of MERKUR in AC.....

Thanks Rob - there is a lot of interesting stuff there, especially buildings and bridges. The array of beer cars is impressive. Americans will never have heard of most of the brands, but there are some good looking cars there. I also like the special cars fitted for drink glasses. When I was doing a lot of entertaining I always thought of building a little railroad to deliver drinks to my guests. Now I don't entertain so much, and my current house would not be a good place to do it, but it's good to see that others have the same idea.

The site mentioned is mainly useful to those who can read Czech (which I do not). The Czech language is difficult for Americans, but at least it's written in the Latin alphabet rather than Cyrillic. There is a running joke in Finland that both the Finns and the Czechs would benefit if the Finns traded some of their excess vowels to the Czechs for some of their excess consonants.

However, the word "Fotogalerie" is easily understood, and there are some very interesting photos of Czech locomotives. The photo below seems to be a switcher designed for maximum view from the cab.
