I am putting a few of Jack Pearce's vehicles on my layout. I want to use real small micro 2 pin connectors (aka like Molex) so that I can change the vehicle placement from time to time. Any idea where I can find some? I have looked at Mercer and All Electronics websites but cannot find them. I also have Googled these with same result. Can you all help this poor hillbilly find some small 2 pin micro wire connectors?

Roger, the only company I know is miniatronics they have 2-pin connectors...These are not cheap.....

John has a good way of cutting 2 contacts off an IC socket and using a mating pair of 2 contacts to make a cheap and small connector. Maybe he has a photo.

What you need is what are called headers and sockets. they are available in dual and single rows. the spacing is 0.1" between pins. All electronics sells them. the headers & sockets can be cut apart so you can make 2 pin sets.

Thanks everyone, I will try to seek your suggestions.
Roger,
You might want to take a look at these also.

Gunrunnerjohn,
Like your custom connectors. Home made is always good. Tried the TCS Order Page this morning and was able to get into it. Might have been down for maintenance. When I need any TCS items, I buy/order from one of my LHS.

If you use any quantity of connectors, the $12 for a 4 conductor pair will soon get pretty expensive. I like the true "micro" connectors they have at TCS, even smaller than mine, just a little "spendy".
