Denny:

They are a Forum Sponsor, are on the Exhibitor List for the Amherst Train Show in January and very recently updated their website, so they are clearly still in business. I have found that the best course of action is to call a dealer if there are questions or issues. Many are not particularly good at responding to emails.

If a business includes an email address as a means of contact, then it is incumbent upon them to answer email inquiries. I find not doing so to be inexcusable. Not gonna answer emails? Too busy? Too time consuming? Can’t type on a keyboard? Spellcheck’s got you in a tizzy? Then delete your email address. Simple solution.

I don't disagree with your position, but it is not going to solve Denny's problem. As I said, the best course of action when there are questions and issues is to call the dealer. It is faster than the email process, even where the email process is working well, and also tends to build a relationship with the dealer.

Miller Engineering as of two weeks ago was still in business. I sent an email asking for some help in selecting some electronics so I can eliminate the batteries for my signs. It took them several days to respond but I got exactly what I needed and made my purchase from them. I would suggest a follow-up e-mail. Most companies recognize the need for good customer service as a means to survive and I'm sure there is a reason why they haven't responded.

@Denny Ridout:  Chris Miller’s customer service has always been 1st class! That is why I have over a dozen of his amazing signs on my “little” 9’ X 9’ layout. I’m sure your problem will be resolved and you will likely wind up buying a few more of these great signs!

Here’s the one that started it all for me - the Stans Diner - just couldn’t resist. Esso and many others followed:
