Miller fluorescent lamps DC Transformer hook up help

I just got a pair of  the Miller Engineering’s miniature fluorescent lamps. They say you need A 12-volt DC source (not included) is required to run
all lamps.
I thought that my HO (DC) starter set transformer would work. I metered to 12 volts. As I read  the  fluorescent lamps  directions theirs a red and common hook up  wires. The Dc transformer had no hot and common marks on the terminals.

The instructions say failure to hook up red to red will cause failure.

Can someone who has used these  can help me user how to hook up to 12 volt DC.
