Which E? There is a "scale" train, and a tin version (that differs from the tin S.P. F unit)... I think the tin & scale E both share the same mechanical features though..(?)
This is pertaining only to the plastic "scale" E-7 since Im not 100% on them both sharing everything.
The only worries I know of is S turns.
The Marx scale B units do not like S curves of any diameter. Mine derails on 0-36 S curves.
The B unit's rear, tilt type, V coupler is attached to a mechanism on the rear truck of the B unit that guides the coupler shank, forcing the "knuckle's" tracking to follow the trucks position closely; keeping the knuckle near the trackscenter line.
On an S turn, the oposing coupler angles created by trucks turning oposing directions, dont allow the knuckles to face each other correctly, and/or create bind at the knuckles from maxing out of the knuckle to knuckle articuulation angle.
In the end either the B units rear truck, or the lead car's lead truck, will be dragged off the rails in an S.
An S must have at least ½ to ¾ of a straight section of track between oposing curves before a B unit can use it.
