I would like to run my MTH starter set on Lionel Fastack.  The MTH starter set has a power supply, a remote receiver, a handheld remote control, and a lock-on.  The connection from the power supply to the receiver is a plug and jack.  From the receiver to the the lock-on it is via two separate wires (red and black).  The handheld communicates with the receiver (my understanding is that the handheld on Lionel Lionchief's communicates directly with the engine).

The lock-on is not compatible with Fastrack so what I was thinking was cut the red and black wires and attach male/female wire connectors, add wires to one of the fastrack pieces and install male/female connectors to it.  I think I could then attach the power supply to my existing MTH layout via the male/female connections between the receiver and the lock-on and to the fastrack layout via the male/female connections which would be between the receiver and the fastrack "terminal" piece.  Does this sound like it would work?

Also, on the larger fastrack layout, I think I could run my MTH starter set simultaneously with my grandson's lionchief set with the MTH power supply configured as above.  Does that sound right?

Thanks.

Steve
