I have always enjoyed assembling models and also repairing things for my layout. Recently I have had professional model builder Stu Gralnik of Model Building Services assemble several for me. I asked him what he used for glues and he quickly responded "Goop". It is advertised as a plumbing adhesive. Following his recommendation, I purchased a tube and discovered why Stu recommended it.  It is strong unlike some of the Testors and otherglue 1 glues. It drys clear and is easy to use. Stu recommended using a tooth pick to apply small amounts and it works very nicely. The material also doesn't continue to spill out after you have squeezed out a drop or two. I purchased another tube of it yesterday at Lowe's for about $5. Its a big tube having 3.7 oz and this goes a long ways. In the past, I have had issues with more glue than I needed in places. I have been able to get a better looking model using this stuff. "Thank You" Mr. Gralnik. While this isn't a major deal, I hope others assembling things will find this useful.  Bill

Very timely as I just received  an item from an ebay sale and a couple of small plastic parts had come off. I tried a TruValue store but did not see anything that I remembered as being "model cement"; they may have had GOOP, but it was not something that i was familiar with so did not pay any attention to it. Anyway, thank you; I will get some of this the next time I go to town.
