I still have my original train set since a young age in 1958 and have accumulated some more trains. With a train engine on the track and using KW or LW Transformers this tender whistle continuously operates when power is applied to the track. At 6.8 VAC the DC voltage is 8.5 MVA and the whistle motor is slowly turning. At 9.7 VAC and the whistle switch activated the KW DC Voltage is 1.0 - 1.3, LW is more at 6.0 VDC and the whistle sounds loud. I have tried switching out the OEM circuit board with an new one but the whistle still continuously operates like the old board. I tried reversing the red and black wires but no change. I have my old steam engine and tender from the 1950's and they both operate normally on my track. Any suggestions?
