I am well along on building an American Std. Car Co. kit for a GE gas electric, and it happens that this car is a twin for

Missouri Pacific #651.  MoPac had a large number of different rail cars, including the streamlined AC&F blue and gray

"Eaglet", but what colors were others such as this GE?   (MoPac had some Sykes cars, too!)  The book "MoPac Power" shows a lot of different MoPac gas electrics, all in not so colorful black and white photos.  My guess from some of the photos is Pullman green with red and yellow front ends....but??

The GE,Sykes and other railcar wore either black or pullman green. The stripes were silver (The same as the steam loco lettering) if I recall correctly.Let me do some checking and I will post addtional info. tonight. I have a file cabinet full of Mopac information.

 

The Eaglets wore the standard MP "Eagle" colors. Here's a link:
