{Chuckle}...I understand your thoughts on this, but in my minds eye the Great Northern is still it's own entity...no merger ever happened, so the Q is trying new things......the joys of re-writing ones own railroad history- it coulda happened!

 I like where the GG-1 is heading- the side heralds will happen soon when I scan them and make decals{everywhere west and way of the Zephyrs}...{Thank you soooo much for the help in that Malcolm B!}

 The PCC trolley is nice but two things aren't as nice as I wanted-

-the "transportation lines inc" is a combination of the microscale O decal set for vans/trailers and was either "trucking lines" or "tranportation inc"....so I just combined the two to get what I wanted. Problem was I can't center the wording due to the doors on the one side, so I offset the other side to match...it's ok but centered would've been ncie{but impossible on both sides}.

The othe thing was th white Burlington lettering on the front...it's lihgt against the cream color- can be seen but not that easily and if it were black I think it would've been too much of a contrast....it's good.

That's oem MTH paint for that piece and plays well with my wanted result, otherwise it would've been a total repaint in pullman green with gold Burlington lettering{a scheme I plan on for some other passenger cars I have}- so in the end this one turned out well as a tranist scheme, of sorts.

Sorry,,,,,no. Not at all.

Well, my intention here is not to offend those who are purists, so sorry if it went that way for you. Had the Q stayed fully unaltered who knows how things would've gone..that's kind of what I like to model and we both know there's totally fictiscious pieces out there for the masses...I just try and make my own. Once again- these are not to offend...and I'll have to remind myself to warn you when I put my "5th" car on my MTH Zephyr...in my mind they need to expand again...

Offended,,,,,,Me?????    Not in the slightest! I am however, a bit disappointed that someone with your high level of modeling skills chooses to "*******ize" what the CB&Q Railroad stood for, during its hay-days. Just my opinion.

HW- I would never try to tarnish what the CB&Q already stood for as that would disrespect the last 3 generations of my mothers side of the family who worked for them, but me making up an engine of a never made unit to that fallin flag wouldn't really ever change what was- The Q was all about new things, and while I can't bring back my grandfather nor the railroad- I can keep the thought of their constant evolution in my house and in my builds, and try to be surrounded by as much CB&Q as I'd like it to be in real life.

This is just a fun hobby, after all...if I can't having you laughing with me, then I guess I can have you laughing at me...so long as I keep you laughing and anyone still thinking of the CB&Q, then I guess I'm doing ok.
