MRC Dual Power 270 watt transformer (AH601) | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Has anyone used this transformer with DCS? I’m thinking of using one in conjunction with a Z4000. I have one TIU and am using all four channels. The Z4000 is working 1 & 2 fixed, the MRC would be working 3 & 4 in fixed mode.

The MRC Dual Power 270 is the AH101 with the tethered remotes. At part throttle the waveform is full of harmonics. At full throttle it is better but I doubt it is as good as the Z4000.

Yes, the AH101 isn't good for DCS, wrong transformer!

I was referring to the pure sine wave with duel throttles (AH601) the same one John had earlier discussed. The tethered model is bad

The Pure Power Dual is a fine transformer and suitable for DCS or TMCC/Legacy.
