I have a few MTH buildings.  The corner wine shop and a few row homes.  I wired them into my AUI so that i can control them all at once.  When they are lit up the row homes are very dark and hard to tell that they are on while the wine shop is very bright.  Also the wine shop has a lighted sign on the outside and it seems to be making a lot of noise no matter how low the voltage is.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this so the noise is gone and all three light up consistantly.  I believe its wired correctly as I used the DCS O gauge companion as a reference.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes those electro-luminescent signs make a high pitched whine.  The Miller's Engineering signs do it too.  When I have just my lights on I hear all this "EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeee" all over the layout.   This goes back to the days of the Timex "Indiglo" watches that use the same technology.  When you press the light button you would hear that same sound.

For the dark buildings I would check your connections, these are usually quite bright.

Then, Are they wired in series, one to the next then last one to the AIU or each one to the AIU direct?

Then try bypassing the AIU, perhaps the contacts are not rated for low current.

A lot of relays have that problem. At my work we have to buy special relays for certain circuits because of the low current they flow. These relays are EXPENSIVE !

Thus MTH cannot justify them in the AIU.

If that is the problem, Contact me via email and I can give you an inexpensive circuit for that situation.
