While i'm home for 2 months...getting caught up on a lot...planted 15 new trees to replace those that didnt make it thru the 4 years of drought, fixing things around the house, trying to get caught up on the pile of paperwork, and had to get everything around here ready for rain that started several weeks ago. Its not like the rest of the country...it doesnt rain for 6 to 9 months...and then when it happens, you've got to get months of stuff thats been left all over the place, put away and under cover. I've got 5 acres of relatively wooded land here, out in what is otherwise the desert. (underground stream). We used to have a pond and an above ground stream, until the drought and the water table dropped considerably. Still have to cut down some dead trees and dead wood amongst the oaks, and clean up a lot of dead branches that fell during the last storm. Also still have 3 blown down fence panels to get up (its on the side of a hill and not easy), and want to put up another 10 fence panels near the front of the property.
On the train front...have spent my leisure time over the last few days going thru MTH cabooses. Got about 50 different MTH cabooses up on the web. Still have 14 more to go. They are mostly from 2000 thru 2012. Some common, some not....FWIW. After that....Have some golden gate stuff arriving....and maybe I'll go thru engines, and MTH "specialty" cars.
Seeing as Atlas is very slow in getting engines delivered, we've started ordering engines from MTH and Lionel. Mostly what I know best..1st and early 2nd generation diesels (and some SD-70's and ES-44's). Have Lionel C-420's, GP-35's and ES-44's up on the web for pre-order now. MTH..have some GE 44 tonners in stock, (and a considerable amount of other stuff) and some available to pre-order. Also new AS-616's, RS-11's, SW's, MP-15's, etc are available to pre-order. I can pre-order anything from Lionel or MTH, but no time to put everything in their catalogs up on the web. . It's just me here...and in 3 or 4 weeks I'll be going back down to LA for 3-4 days a week for classes and hustling TV/commercial work again. I kinda hate that I'm not putting in for a lot of stuff thats filming right now. But u cant do everything
Thanks to everyone who has been ordering from us.
