I am in the process of programming the DCS control system for a large layout that I am building. The control system includes 4 TIU's and 5 AIU's. Three AIU's are assigned to TIU 2 and two AIU's are assigned to TIU 4. I am using many of the accessory relays to control 12VDC relays that control track power to sidings, yard tracks, turntable and engine storage tracks.  The problem that I am having is that accessory relays 1-6 on each of the AIU's are only turning on to a momentary closure when selected and triggered. Relays 7-10 respond and latch on as expected. I have studied the AIU instructions and The DCS Companion 3rd Edition and can find no refrence that tells about programming the accessory relays for latching or non latching mode. The instructions imply that all relays should turn ON or OFF as commanded by the remote and momentary ON by the soft key. What am I doing wrong? All TIU's are recent vintage and running DCS 6.1 software and firmware. I found an old post that indicated that this was an issue back in the day when 4.0 software first came out for  TIU version L but my TIU's are running 6.1. Do I need to reinstall 6.1 with the AIU's connected to the TIU?

I don't have an answer but would like to understand the problem.

For ACC relays 1-6, are you saying you press the "ON" softkey on the DCS remote but the relay only turns on momentarily (rather than latching to ON)?  If so, is the momentary closure always the same duration...like the 1/2 second "tick-tock" clicking you hear from the AIU enclosure when triggering an SW relay?

Do the misbehaving ACC 1-6 relays correctly respond to the "ACT" momentary softkey?
