I have downloaded the latest DCS Loader program from the MTH Protosound2 web page.  After doing so I notice that there isn't an icon for uploading a current sound file from my engine to my computer as a backup.  If memory serves me right a previous DCS loader program allowed me to do that.  Am I missing something here?

Hi Chuck,

I'm with you and Gary in hoping the "upload" feature will be restored in the next release. I don't think MTH R&D quite realized how valuable a tool that feature was for the rest of us and especially for service centers.  The reason they gave for the elimination of the upload feature was that the new PS3 sound files can be so much larger than PS2 files that an upload would take an excessive amount of time.  Personally, I'd just like to have the option, even if it takes a long time.

Sounds like the same problem I had about a month ago. I installed a PS2 upgrade into a Premier diesel for the first time. After downloading the loader program and following the instructions I could not download the sound file throught the product search on on the PS2 website. Fortunatley my Dad is authorized MTh service person and he instructed me to do the following. Go to the "regular" MTH product search. After finding your PS loco click on the sound file and it should download and into your computer which can then be saved. It worked great. I wrote an email to MTH on this issue. A tech called and told me the PS2 webpage is being revamped and the sound files through the PS website are disabled. I suggested they put up a notice of this and instructions on how to dowload the sound files through the regular product search site. I have not checked the PS webiste lately to see if this was done. Hope this helps c
