A new replacement Rev L TIU arrived and I used it to update 3 remotes and 5 TIUs. All went well until I installed the Rev L TIU in place of my original TIU #1.
None of the Remotes would "see" the new TIU #1. With a Remote tethered to the TIU, all worked fine. Using Barry's instructions on p. 161 of DCS O Gauge Companion, I removed the top of the TIU.
See the factory positioned cockeyed transceiver board.
Following Barry's instruction, "Press down gently on the transceiver board to reseat it. Also ensure that the black wire antenna is lying flat. Do not under any circumstances lift up on the transceiver board or antenna!" obviously wouldn't work so I gently lifted it off the sticky pad. It was never plugged in, just stuck on the pad rotated about 165 degrees from where it should be. At least the transceiver board was in the TIU and undamaged.
See correct position showing bottom of board.
All works fine after rotating the board and seating it into sockets and on the sticky pad.
