Search results here showed possible release in December of 2016. MTH's website now shows a February 2017 release. Does anyone know whether that Feb, 2017 release is still a go?
Thanks!

I suspect that is the plan as MTH DCS WiFi day is March 11th. I imagine they'd like to have it out before then.
Thanks Marty,
I do hope they don't push it back again. I just ordered my DCS WiFi module, and have the standard app on my iPhone. I've also got a cable to attach my Base1-L to my TIU. I'm itching to try running my TMCC and Legacy locos with the new app!
Very soon. You are going to love it.
I believe I was told February by MTH at the Amherst Show.
I did get a chance to see a Beta version and I am looking forward to using the legacy features. To me, this seams like a big deal. I am Surprised it has not received much attention/discussion on this forum.

Bill, I agree! I think that having all of the DCS functionality, and TMCC/Legacy control (even if somewhat limited) on a single app is a real big deal! In a more perfect world, the O gauge industry would have put their heads together and come up with one standard for digital control, like the NMRA did with DCC. This is a pretty good compromise, in my opinion.
My question is, using the TMCC/Legacy feature of the DCS app, does this allow for more than 99 locos in my app roster? Since using Dcs and Legacy I have more than the max number of locos on one system. If they could make it so a person could have 99 DCS locos and 99 legacy locos all in the app, that'd be sweet. DCC has the ability to handle 10,000 address and 128 consists

JonZ said this is a hardware limitation and won't change. I doubt it since DCS still has to use a Legacy Base. Not sure if the limitation is in the base or engine hardware though.
I am sure they the TIU handles address would be a limiting factor same with the Legacy base

Wish I had 99+1 locomotives to have that issue.
Keep collecting, you ll get there
