Newbie here. Just purchased a new RailKing ES44AC. As long as the engine is running clockwise on an oval layout everything is fine, but when running counter-clockwise it derails. When I looked closer I found that the front truck will turn fully to the right (approximately to 1 o'clock looking down on the top of the engine), but for some reason it is binding and won't turn past 12 o'clock when turning to the left. It appears that the wires coming out of the cab to the pickup roller are too short, or that something inside of the cab is hanging up.

Before I take the engine apart I'd like to know if doing so will void the warranty and if so, should I send it to MTH for repair? If it won't void the warranty, is there a more detailed manual I can get that shows me how to take it apart and put it back together correctly? It looks like there are only a few screws involved, but I don't know what it is like inside the body.

After further investigation, it appears that one of the 2 cab figures is loose and fell into the space where the truck turns. Turning the engine upside down and gently shaking it dislodged the figure, and now the truck turns properly. I guess I will still have to open it up to put the figure back in its proper place.
