I`m suggesting to MTH to make a Standard Gauge 'OPERATING AQUARIUM CAR' in their Tinplate Line {Also would be nice in 1-Gauge}. Is this something that would interest others here on the Forum?

That may have been suggested numerous times already... check the I wish they would make this in Tinplate threads from the past

I'm from the, "old school". Please, leave Std Gauge Lionel & Wide Gauge Flyer as it was originally manufactured. Regardless if it's a modern piece or not. Of course this is my opinion.
I don`t know if you ever cared much for MCCOY`S or PRIDE-LINES Std Ga, but they did quite well with their Lines, created in-house. I liked MTH`s Std Ga SUBWAY-SETS. but it didn`t make it to production.
To each his/her own, but I am with Pappy on this one!
People only buy what they like, of course, but I`ve seen a few Cartoons from the 20`s and 30`s, from Disney and others, with Steam Engines puffing out smoke running wildly around presents and toys and the Christmas tree lit with colored lights so the way I personally look at it is of a Fantasy they may of had in the early 30`s of what their Toy Trains could be able to do come to life.
If there is enough interest, I am sure MTH would consider it. Six or seven years ago MTH made several operating aquarium "action cars" in HO. While it wasn't popular with the true-to-scale HO model railroaders, the children with HO scale trains seems to like them!
I would be in on this !! possibilities endless,,,,,,terry
ok, so it sounds like we need another 47 states to chime in...because I think 50 will do it.

McCoy & Pride-Lines filled a niche for a small audience. Personally I never cared for nor did I purchase one or the other.

Granted there are those who would purchase such a piece. That's what makes this hobby so unique.
