Your transformer will work if it puts out AC power and it appears it does.
Look for a rating tag somewhere on it.
If it says it puts out 0-15VAC (or some other value) it is an AC transformer.
If it says it puts out 0-15VDC (or some other value) it is a DC transformer and you should not use it.
The Diner runs on a constant 14-20 Volts AC.
You can use that transformer if:
1. it is an AC Transformer
2. it puts out at least 14 Volts AC
3. you push the red handle to the maximum setting
4. you don't use it to power anything else at the same time.
One of the terminals is the "HOT" or "+" terminal and the other is the "GROUND" or "-" terminal. Hopefully they are marked.
Follow the wiring directions found in the booklet that comes with the diner.
If you don't have one look at the following:
There are multiple attachments as there is sound and movement with the diner.
Hope this helps.
