Hello All,

Before I put the engines on the track and end up overloading and frying some electronics,  I thought I'd ask the experts here about this.  I have the following brand new, never run MTH Premier F-3 units:

20-3057-1 CP F-3 AA(powered A and dummy A)

two 20-3057-3 CP F-3B(2 powered B units)

All of these engines are the factory original untouched PS-1 system.  The engines need to be connected together by their tethers in order for them to operate correctly as intended.  Normally this would be one powered A unit,  one powered B unit,  and the dummy A unit.   My question is would I be able to add the second powered B unit into this engine consist(they would still all need to be tethered together)?  Will the electronics support operating the 6 motors together,  or is this not possible without further electronic modification?   Anyone who has tried this or can tell me for sure,  please let me know.

Thanks in advance, Nick

Nick the only thing the tether dose is work the light and coupler on the rear a unit the b unit always start in forward in sink with the front a unit there is nothing hook in the b unit with the tether , make sure you put a new battery in before you start it up [only in the front a unit] the b unit don't have battery's .

Guy,

Thanks for your reply.  I put BCR's in my PS1 & PS2 MTH engines which takes care of the majority of battery problems after the engines have been sitting for an extended period of time.  When running long trains for hours at a time during our club displays,  it's easier to add another powered unit to help haul the load(Just like the real railroads I guess!!!)
