MTH Reading T-1 Repair Parts | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I lost several of the sand dome hatch covers to my MTH Premeir RDG T-1. They are connected to the boiler with thin chains and simply sit in the holes in the dome. Unfortunately, the chains for several of them were not attached to the inside of the boiler. During all the lifting and turning over for maintanance and wrapping, the hatch covers fell out and disappeared. I looked on the MTH Parts website only to find out that the parts are not called out separately. So I sent a note to Alan, our 3D printing friend on this Forum. He was interested and asked for photos and dimensions, which I was able to provide. Within a very reasonable amout of time, I had 5 replacement hatches in my possession. I painted them and attached them with superglue. They look great!
