I think that the matching the railhead height will be the biggest concern. The ScaleTrax is lower. So, an angled shim under the roadbed as the Scaletrax approaches the Atlas.

Butt the ends together and make a basswood tie to fit under the joint to prevent sagging. Power both sides.

Trying to solder could get tricky. Atlas isn't easy to solder. Perhaps squeezing an Atlas joiner to the Scaletrax rail would work.

Get a couple of straights and play with it.

I currently have atlas o on my layout and want to expand my layout using scale trax. I’m just about ready to tackle this problem. My plan is to build a test connection in the garage. I think Moonman’s approach is the way to go. I would think solder to an atlas joiner would make the electrical connection. The physical connection must provide for a smooth down slope to the lower scale trax elevation while not misaligning in the cross track direction. Since your post was 6 months ago, maybe you already solved this problem.
