I was under the impression MTH cancelled the Genset Pacific Harbor lines Switcher because of lack of orders, So I put it out of my mine. The engine was ordered by me From Sean but it was right before Sean's Dad passing and he shortly closed the store. As far as I new it was never to be made so I forgot about it and stated to look for one on the Lionel version on the bay. I was putting up our Modest Christmas layout around the tree when we found out we were short as few sections of track we needed, A group named the RF&P historic society I joined turned me on to a local hobby shop( around here that means within a 60 mile circle) no biggie it was a nice ride over to Maryland to the shop which was very nice and well stocked, anyway we got the track we needed and the wife was looking over the O gauge tinplate And I perused  the o gauge on the shelves where to my poor old eyes discovered a Genset Pacific Harbor Belt switcher which I had thought to have been cancelled  I picked it up sure enough it was the real Mccoy, My wife came buy with two Christmas tinplate cars she wanted which I purchased for her as part of her Christmas gifts, she noticed me ogling the engine and asked if I was buying it, I said I love to but can not right now because of the bank funds being on the anemic side because of Christmas, I said I come back after Christmas and get it if it was still there.

We were hungry and eat at a restaurant next store when she said she left a bag at the other store and said she be right back. After a few minutes she returned we finished eating and headed back to Virginia.

She was very excited to put her two new tinplate cars on the track and see how they looked, she put them on and they were very nice MTH/Lionel o Gauge cars and I said what do you want to pull them with she said she would get and engine she came back with a MTH premiere   Box and gave it to me saying here pull it with this. You guessed it , the PHL Genset was in the box.

This is why we are married for 46 years.

John
