I have the mth fastrack trestle system and for some reason on curves the train bounces on the joints. I am worried that they derail, fall, and destroy themselves. I tried hitting it with a hammer (lightly or course) to smooth out the track but it didn't help. Is there anyway to stop it?

Try filing down any sharp edges.

Sounds like the rails aren't lining up? That is my biggest gripe with Realtrax and a pretty common problem - I've even noticed it on MTH corporate displays at York, etc. Mike Wolf told me to just bend the rails with pliers. Another option, one I haven't tried is using Gargraves track pins to hold the rails in place.
