Does anyone know if the 3 rail wheel sets on the MTH Turbo Train can be changed out to 2 rail wheel sets?

They have the "captive" wheels so they can't be swapped easily. You'd have to get a puller and replacement wheels from Northwest Short Line. You'd also have to rig up some wheel pickups. The intermediate bogies use conventional wheels as I recall, which you may be able to replace with Intermountain 20050 2-rail wheels.

No Problem. I have two of them and MTH did a good job, but converting one to 2-rail would be a major job. I was thinking that one could replace the power trucks with a pair from a 2/3 Geep, but there are additional wiring issues involved, plus I recall that the truck block is drilled/tapped for different appliances (I'd have to look as I haven't run them in quite a while).
